The Study at University City is seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to support hotel housekeeping operations and ensure a comfortable, clean, and memorable guest experience. This role is responsible for hotel laundry operations, including washing, drying, pressing, and folding linens in our on-site laundry facility while maintaining brand cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the in-house laundry department.
• Remove linens from laundry chutes and organize wash piles.
• Wash and dry linens according to type specifications.
• Press and fold linens according to brand standards.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness within the laundry facility.
• Stock floor landings and supply areas when necessary.
• Notify management when linen inventory or supply levels are low.
• Assist with guest requests, such as delivering additional bathroom amenities or linens.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the Engineering department.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other hotel departments to manage guest requests.
• Support team members to ensure efficient department and hotel operations.
• Follow company standards and all safety and security procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Fundamentals

• Experience: Previous hotel housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
• Ability to extend arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Typical shifts are scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
• Weekend availability strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members using basic English communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive movements.
• Strong organizational skills, including time management, follow-up, multitasking, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with hotel departments, vendors, and guests.
